Manchester Museum exhibition launch

Michael will unveil his latest large-scale work exploring Empire and its impact on modern British identity at Manchester Museum between Wednesday 12 and Sunday 16 March.

As well as being one of the first people to view this thought-provoking new piece, you’ll be able to chat with the artist himself during a post-showing Q&A at a special Museum Meets late event on the launch night of Wednesday 12 March, 6-9pm.

Michael J Browne, the man, the artist

Born in Manchester’s Moss Side in 1963, Michael went on to study at Chelsea School of Art and began a journey with extraordinary twists and turns, one that led to having work hung in the National Portrait Gallery and in a major exhibition.
